Adding Windows to apartments in The Sims 4 is a relatively easy task, and can be done with just a few clicks. Here’s how to do it:
- Open up the “Create A Sim” screen and select an adult Sim.
- Click on the “Custom Content” button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Click on the “Download Content” button in the top right corner of the Custom Content screen.
- Scroll down until you see “Windows,” and click on it to open up its content file.
- Locate the “Window_x_y_z_Layers” folder inside of this content file, and drag it onto your desktop (or any other location where you want).
- Right-click on the newly-created Window_x_y_z_Layers folder, and select “Create Shortcut.”
- Rename this shortcut “Windows.”
- Double-click on Windows to open it up, and click on the “Add New Object” button located at the top left corner of the window (it looks like a plus sign).
- Select “Window,” from the list of options that appears, and click on OK to add it to your game world.
- You’re now ready to add windows to your apartments! To do so, simply drag one from your inventory onto any wall or floor tile that you want it placed on, and then press Enter/Return to apply it to that location (or use Ctrl+Enter/Ctrl+Return if you have keyboard control enabled). ..
