If you have Windows 10, 8.1, or 8, you can disable the color scheme popup by using the following steps:

  1. Open the Start menu and type “cmd” (without the quotes) and hit enter.
  2. Type “netstat -an” and hit enter.
  3. Look for the line that says “Ports: [port name]” and change it to “Not applicable”. For example, if your port is 3389, then it would be changed to “Not applicable”.
  4. Save the changes and close all of your windows.
