There are a few things you need in order to make a car bed. You’ll need a bed, some screws, and some nails. The screws will hold the frame together while the nails will hold the sheet metal in place.

  1. Start by measuring your car’s length and width. This will give you the dimensions for your bed.
  2. Next, measure the space between each wheel and the ground. This will be important when determining how wide your bed should be.
  3. Finally, measure the space between your car and your bed frame or wall (if using one). This will determine how high your bed should be.
  4. Once you have these dimensions, start by cutting out a piece of cardboard that is twice as wide as your car’s length and width (excluding any wheels). This will serve as your template for creating your car bed frame or wall!
  5. Cut out all of the pieces of cardboard using a saw or an X-acto knife, making sure to cut evenly around both edges of each piece of cardboard!
  6. Finally, screw together each piece of cardboard using two screws per side (making sure not to screw through the fabric!). Be sure to use washers on either end of each screw in order to keep everything together!
